Rita Antonioli - PORTFOLIO

Rita Antonioli’s photographic career began in the world of fashion and in photojournalism, as she worked with Sofia Riva, Jazek P. Soltan and Armin Linke. She later focused on theatrical photography. In recent years she has been dedicating her talents to the world of music, producing CD covers for musicians, including Omar Pedrini, Pacifico and Sainko, as well as creating the official image of Patti Smith, the artistic director of the 2005 Meltdown festival. Currently she is working on two projects. “Uno sguardo dal palcoscenico” (View from Onstage) is a series of portraits of performers like C. Carlson, W. Forsythe, A. Preljocaj, Patti Smith, P. Glass, M. Nyman, L. Anderson, J. Birkin, U. Lemper, P. Fresu, R. Sakamoto, B. Eno, B. Wilson, W. Kentridge, and P. Sellar. “Normal but Special” explores the way in which the non Western world relates to image. Her photographs have been published in  “Esquire Japan”, “Mojo”, “Capital”, “Gentlemen”, “Amica”, “Musica di Repubblica”…
